When we first moved to Toronto it became a running joke how every picture we took had a crane in the background.
We moved up in the summer and everywhere we went the city was under constant construction. We now know this locally referred to as construction season.
Every time we came back from a trip it struck me how much seeing the construction cranes started to feel like home and it hit me I'm in construction season of my life.
My life and my identity as I knew it fell apart and I was picking of the pieces and building something new.
